Special features: This 10-year-old single malt whisky from the renowned Oban Distillery has been bottled as part of the Diageo Special Releases 2024. Under the motto "Spirited Xchange Second Edition," this limited edition presents an innovative cask maturation: Initially, the whisky matured in refill casks made of American oak and subsequently received a finish in newly charred casks that had previously been treated with Oloroso sherry. This special combination gives the whisky a unique depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A vibrant bouquet with maritime notes of seaweed and sea salt, accompanied by aromas of ripe apples and a hint of vanilla.
- Palate: Creamy and full-bodied, a sweet fruitiness of orange and lemon unfolds, complemented by a touch of vanilla and a hint of sea salt. Peppery oak spice rounds off the tasting experience.
