His work with alcohol-based preparations also led to rum production. The Old St. Croix brand name was later created for exports to Europe and the USA, taking its name from the neighbouring sugar cane island.

In 2025, the A.H. Riise brand was renamed Old St. Croix. Today, the XO Reserve range is based on a selection of matured spirits from different distilleries. The Master Distiller creates the blends with the aim of keeping their flavour balanced and consistent across bottlings. Cask selection and the wines previously held in those casks shape the individual editions.

Facts:

Product category

Rum

Packaging

Gift packaging

Volume

0.7 litres

Alcohol content

45%

Market operator

bringts Schweiz GmbH, Steinrain 18, 4112 Flüh/CH

Rum colonial style

English style

Bottler

Official bottling

Cask strength or high alcohol content

No

Allergens

May contain traces of walnuts

Organic certification

No

Brand

Old St. Croix
