Maurice O'Connell is now reviving this tradition with his whiskeys.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThe Liberator Small Batch Double Port is a blended whiskey with a high single malt content of 42% and finished in two different types of port wine casks: Tawny and Ruby Port Casks. First, the single malt and the single grain matured in bourbon casks. The single malt was then finished for 9-12 months in Ruby and Tawny Port Casks and the grain whiskey was finished only in Ruby Port Casks for 12 months. The whiskeys used are between 14 and 5 years old.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e A lot of emphasis was placed on the slow dilution.
