Special features: The first single malt whiskey from the Connacht Distillery marks the return of a whiskey from County Mayo after 150 years. The whiskey is based on Irish barley from County Wexford, cultivated in close collaboration with local farmers. After a double distillation in copper pot stills, the whiskey matured for approximately four years in former bourbon casks, followed by a finish in large 500-liter sherry casks. Batch 1 was selected from the finest casks, some of which are almost five years old and date back to the distillery's early days.

• Nose: Raisins, dried fruits, honey sweetness, butterscotch, star anise
• Palate: Vanilla, spicy notes, dried fruits, malt
• Finish: Long-lasting with walnut and honey
