Etsu Double Yuzu Japanese Gin New Equipment

Special Features: The Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is produced at the Akita Distillery on the island of Honshū in Japan. This gin is characterized by a seven-day maceration of traditional botanicals, including Japanese yuzu, juniper berries, licorice root, angelica root, coriander seeds, and matcha tea. After maceration, the distillation occurs without the botanicals, resulting in a particularly fine and elegant taste. Pure spring water from the Ōu Mountains, the longest mountain range in Japan, is used, giving the gin a special freshness.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Fresh citrus notes of yuzu and lemon.
  • Palate: Lively aromas of yuzu and lemon, accompanied by a pleasant freshness.
  • Finish: Round, fresh, and smooth.

Distillery/Bottler: The Akita Distillery is located in the north of Honshū Island in Japan and is known for producing gin that combines traditional Japanese ingredients with Western distillation techniques. The philosophy of the distillery is based on the use of local botanicals and spring water to create authentic and high-quality spirits.
