Special features: This whisky comes from Batch 4 of a strictly limited warehouse of the Fettercairn distillery. It has matured in a combination of first and second fill ex-bourbon casks as well as Hungarian oak wine casks, which give it an interesting complexity and depth. The bottling is done in a natural way without chill filtration and without coloring, thus preserving its authentic character.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fruity aromas of ripe apples and pears, accompanied by fine vanilla and honey notes as well as a hint of spices.
- Palate: Full-bodied with notes of oak, sweet spice, dark berries, and a subtle wine tone.
- Finish: Long-lasting, dry with slightly peppery nuances and mild oak wood.
