Special features: This single malt matured for 31 years in a First Fill Sherry Puncheon cask (No. 14520), which gives the whisky its intense depth and complexity. With only 505 bottles, it is a limited edition presented in an elegant wooden box.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Rich notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and fine spices with hints of noble sherry.
- Palate: Full-bodied and complex with flavors of ripe berries, vanilla, sweet oak, and a subtle spiciness.
- Finish: Long-lasting and smooth with a pleasant warmth and echoes of sherry and slightly bitter chocolate.
Distillery/Bottler: Glentauchers is a traditional Speyside distillery that has been producing high-quality malt whiskies since 1897. Known for its typical Speyside characteristics, the whiskies from the distillery usually offer fruity and soft aromas. Gordon & MacPhail is one of the oldest independent bottlers in Scotland and has a long history. The bottling as part of the Connoisseurs Choice series represents unadulterated cask strength whiskies that provide authentic insights into the character of individual casks.
