Special features: This limited release from Elixir Distillers honors the long-standing friendship between Sukhinder Singh and Thierry Bénitah. The Imperial Single Malt was distilled in 1994 and matured for 30 years in Refill Bourbon Barrels before being bottled in 2025. With only 150 bottles, this whisky is a true collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh and subtle with aromas of chlorophyll, Williams pear, vanilla, cut hay, and sage.
- Palate: Delicate and clear, starting with lemon and vanilla, followed by complex flavors from the garden such as beans and zucchini flowers.
- Finish: Elegant and layered with herbal infusions of fennel and verbena, as well as creamy notes of coconut and almond.
Distillery/Bottler: The Imperial Distillery, founded in 1897 in Speyside, Scotland, has a tumultuous history with longer production breaks. Elixir Distillers, known for bottling rare and old whiskies, has bottled this 30-year-old Single Malt.
