Special features: The Jura The Bay 12 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exclusive bottling from the Isle of Jura Distillery, specifically designed for Travel Retail. This whisky matured for 12 years in American white oak barrels that were previously used for bourbon, and then received a finish in barrels that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry for 15 years. This double maturation gives it a complex aroma with fine nuances of figs, gingerbread, and sultanas.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Tropical spices with a hint of toffee apple, oak, and dark berries.
- Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with hints of sultanas, figs, ginger spice, and sweet licorice. Well balanced with a robust body and fine spice.
- Finish: Very long, slightly creamy with a harmonious aftertaste.
