Kilchoman Machir Bay - 200ml
Special features: The Kilchoman Machir Bay is a characterful single malt whisky from the renowned Kilchoman Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. Named after the picturesque Machir Bay, located just a few hundred meters from the distillery, this whisky reflects the rugged coastal conditions and the rich history of the region. The bottling is done at 46% alcohol content, without chill filtration and without coloring, preserving the natural character of the whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of citrus fruits, accompanied by an intense peat smoke that captivates the senses.
- Palate: The taste unfolds with sweet and fruity notes, underscored by vanilla and caramel, accompanied by mild smoke.
- Finish: A long-lasting aftertaste with maritime hints and the typical Kilchoman finish that emphasizes the smoky depth of the whisky.
Distillery/Bottler: The Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 and is the first newly built distillery on Islay in 124 years. As an independent family business, Kilchoman places great importance on traditional production methods and uses some of its own barley, which is grown and malted on the grounds of Rockside Farm. This dedication to craftsmanship gives their whiskies a distinctive character.
