Kinclaith 1969/2020 - 51 y.o. - #301454 - Rarest of the Rare (Duncan Taylor)
Special Features: This limited release comes from the long-closed Kinclaith Distillery in the Lowlands. With a proud age of 51 years and a bottle count of only 95 specimens, this single malt is one of the true rarities on the market. The cask with the number 301454 was distilled on May 28, 1969, and bottled on June 5, 2020 – an impressive testament to traditional Scottish craftsmanship.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Complex aromas of ripe fruits, honey, and delicate floral notes, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and malt.
- Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with intense notes of toffee, nuts, and a fine spiciness.
- Finish: Long-lasting, elegant, and harmonious with a subtle hint of oak and spices.
Distillery/Bottler: Kinclaith was a small distillery originally opened in the 1950s in the Lowlands, which was already closed in the early 1970s. Due to the short production period, original bottlings are extremely rare and highly valued by connoisseurs. Duncan Taylor, as a renowned independent bottler, is known for its careful releases of exceptional malt whiskies with special heritage.
