Special features: The second release of Laphroaig's innovative Elements series, which experiments with extended fermentation processes to unlock new flavor depths. Distilled in a particularly cold January, the fermentation time was extended to up to 115 hours, resulting in a whisky with intense fruity and smoky aromas.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fruity and subtly maritime with notes of stewed green apples, vanilla pudding, and zesty orange peel, accompanied by delicate peaty accents.
- Palate: Fruity, sweet, and salty with flavors of green apples, liquid honey, cream, and the soft peatiness of a smoldering campfire as well as smoked seafood.
- Finish: Sweet with an increasingly warming smokiness in the aftertaste.
