Special features: The Mandarina Dry Gin from the Hessian distillery Henrich impresses with its intense mandarin note, perfectly balanced with a selection of other citrus fruits and herbs. This gin is the evolution of the popular Gin Eleven and was re-released in 2020 with an additional portion of mandarin flavors.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A fruity bouquet of mandarins, accompanied by citrus notes such as orange, lime, and grapefruit. Subtle herbal nuances of lemongrass and lemon balm complement the aroma.
- Palate: An intense taste of mandarins, embedded in a potpourri of citrus fruits and a slight ginger spiciness. Herbal hints of thyme and licorice root round off the tasting experience.
- Finish: A refreshing, bittersweet aftertaste with lingering mandarin and citrus notes, accompanied by a hint of herbs.
Distillery/Bottler: The Henrich distillery, run by brothers Holger and Ralf Henrich, is located in Kriftel, Hesse. Originally founded as a fruit-growing operation, the closure distillery was established in 2005, laying the foundation for the current distillery. In addition to various gin varieties, the distillery also produces "Gilors Single Malt Whisky."
