Distillery/Bottler: Martell, founded in 1715 by Jean Martell, is one of the most traditional of the great Cognac houses and is considered one of the oldest in the region. The house places particular emphasis on the use of selected Eaux-de-Vie, especially from the Borderies as well as the Crus Grande and Petite Champagne. This careful selection gives Martell's cognacs their elegant and distinctive character.
