Special features: This Millstone Single Malt Whisky from the Dutch Zuidam Distillery has been aged for eight years in a combination of American oak barrels and Moscatel wine casks. This double maturation gives it a complex array of flavors. It is bottled at 46% vol., without chill filtration and without coloring. The limited edition consists of 2,460 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh wine notes, accompanied by caramelized sugar, butterscotch, and berries.
- Palate: Juicy peaches, sweet vanilla sauce, and a pleasant oak spice.
- Finish: Medium-long, sweet and dry, with an aftertaste of grapes and light acidity.
Distillery/Bottler: The Zuidam Distillery, founded in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam, is one of the last independent distilleries in the Netherlands. It produces with 100% natural raw materials and has made a name for itself internationally with its high-quality spirits.
