Natterjack Irish Whiskey 0.7 l
Special features: The Natterjack Irish Whiskey is a masterfully composed blended whiskey that combines Irish tradition with American influences. It consists of triple-distilled pot still Irish whiskey, which first matures in former bourbon barrels and is then refined in virgin American oak casks. This double maturation gives it a distinctive character and a harmonious balance. The name "Natterjack" is a tribute to the Irish natterjack toad, known for its peculiar way of moving, symbolizing the courage to forge one's own path.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of vanilla, fresh apples, and a hint of cinnamon.
- Palate: Soft and creamy, with notes of orange, spices, cedar wood, and tobacco.
- Finish: Medium-length, characterized by fruity and fresh accents.
Distillery/Bottler: Gortinore Distillers & Co. was founded in 2019 by Aidan Mehigan, Jordan Via, and Lisa Mehigan. Aidan Mehigan discovered his passion for whiskey during a visit to Detroit and deepened his knowledge through a distilling course. Together with the esteemed master distiller Jordan Via from Colorado and his sister Lisa, he founded Gortinore Distillers & Co. in Ireland. The distillery is located in a mill over 150 years old in Kilmacthomas, County Waterford, which is currently being converted into a modern distillery.
