Special features: The Puni 4 years PX Cask - Darkness! is a limited release from the PUNI Distillery, Italy's first whisky distillery, founded in 2010 in Vinschgau. This whisky has been finished in Pedro-Ximénez sherry casks, giving it a deep, dark color and complex aromas. The bottling is done at cask strength and without chill filtration to preserve the natural flavors.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense aromas of dried fruits, particularly raisins and figs, blend with sweet sherry notes and a hint of oak.
- Palate: Full-bodied and rich, with a balanced sweetness and a slight spiciness. The sherry notes are present, accompanied by a subtle wood note.
- Finish: Long and warming, with lingering aromas of dried fruits and a delicate oak spice.
