Special Features:

In Hindi, Sangam means confluence: this blended malt brings together malt whiskies from traditional European whisky regions and malts from New World producers. Master Blender Anup Barik developed this union of different whisky traditions for Radico Khaitan.

This 0.7-litre bottling has an alcohol content of 43%, is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring. Fruity, floral and spicy notes meet sweet aromas, delicate salinity and restrained peat smoke.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose initially reveals lychee, green apple, pear and apricot. Delicate citrus accents, rose and heather then emerge. Honey, vanilla and caramel mingle with cinnamon and nutmeg, while salt and peat smoke remain subtle nuances.
• Palate: Pronounced fruitiness gives the whisky complex, creamy fullness on the palate, while delicate salty and peaty notes provide balance. The peat smoke gradually gives way to cinnamon, nutmeg and oak-influenced vanilla. A touch of honey and the wine-like texture round out the impression.
• Finish: The finish is pleasantly long and leaves a lingering impression on the palate.

Distillery/Bottler:

Radico Khaitan began operating in 1943 under the name Rampur Distillery Company. After initially working, among other activities, as a producer and bottler for other spirits companies, it began developing its own brands in 1998. Its portfolio includes Rampur Indian Single Malt Whiskies and Sangam World Malt Whisky; one of the company’s distilleries is located in Rampur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Radico Khaitan introduced Sangam in 2023 as a World Malt from Rampur Distillery. Sangam is an original bottling from Rampur Distillery.
