St. Kilian Grave Digger Field of Blood Peated Whisky

Special features: This single malt whisky is a tribute to Scottish history and the sounds of bagpipers. As a smoky successor to the successful "Tunes of War" edition, the "Grave Digger – Fields of Blood" bottling presents aromas of mild peat smoke, red berries, ripe peaches, and sweet grapes. Limited to 5,450 bottles, this whisky is aimed not only at heavy metal fans but at all lovers of intense smoky notes.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Mild peat smoke envelops a fruity potpourri of red berries, ripe peaches, and sweet grapes, refined with vanilla, oak spice, fine tannins, and subtle floral notes.
  • Palate: Wonderfully creamy, sweet, and fruity with vanilla, red berry compote, and juicy grapes, accompanied by warming oak spice with fine tannins and enveloped in mild peat smoke.
  • Finish: Long-lasting and pleasantly warming with creamy grape sweetness and finely spiced oak, followed by dark chocolate and subtly dry ash notes.

Distillery/Bottler: St. Kilian Distillers, founded in 2016 in Rüdenau, Germany, has quickly made a name for itself by combining Scottish tradition with German engineering. The distillery uses bottles inspired by copper pot stills for its bottlings and places great importance on experimentation and innovation.
