Special Features:

Hannah is a single-cask edition from Bimber’s Shoulder of Giants series, bottled for Germany and finished in Amontillado sherry cask No. 537/37. The whisky was bottled at cask strength in September 2025 at 57.8% ABV, with a total release of 312 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Roasted hazelnut, ripe fig and dark honey shape the dense, nutty and fruity nose. Dried apricot, orange peel, caramel and delicate wood spices follow, with nuances of leather and polished mahogany in the background.
• Palate: Toffee, spicy oak and cocoa take centre stage on the palate. Sherry-influenced fruit, almonds, vanilla, dark honey and gentle spice complete the profile. The velvety, oily and full-bodied texture balances sweetness with dry oak spice.
• Finish: The long, layered finish is velvety and lightly saline. Hazelnut, dried fruit and caramel transition into a warm Amontillado dryness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Bimber uses barley from a single farm and mashes it by hand. The wort then ferments for seven days in wooden washbacks. Distillation takes place in small, direct-fired copper stills, while cask selection and bottling are carried out at the London site.

Launched in April 2024, the Shoulder of Giants series honours influential thinkers, creators and innovators through individually selected casks. The tube for each release links its design to the story of the person after whom it is named. Hannah is dedicated to the political theorist and philosopher Hannah Arendt. Bimber produced the whisky, selected cask 537/37 and released it as an official bottling.
