Coleburn Local Heros Sherry Bomb Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 46% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Local Heros Sherry Bomb is one of the three blended malts that launch the Local Heros range. This Blended Malt Scotch Whisky brings together malt whiskies from Oloroso and refill casks. The Oloroso influence contributes to its deep fruit character, while toasted malt and spices provide structure.

The whisky is bottled at 46% at the historic Coleburn site in Speyside. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gift packaging; the whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, honey, strawberry, red apple and cinnamon mingle with toasted malt, creating a spicy, creamy and fruit-forward impression.
• Palate: The palate unfolds with dried fruit, sultanas and hazelnut alongside stewed plum, fig and vanilla, complemented by malty and subtle berry notes.
• Finish: The finish is medium in length, fruity and smooth.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Distillery at Coleburn is located at the historic Coleburn site in Longmorn, Speyside. After the former distillery closed in 1985, D&M Winchester began reviving the site; its reopening as a working distillery is planned for 2027. Master Distiller Keith Cruickshank brings 27 years of experience at Benromach to the project. The three blended malts Sherry Bomb, Sweet Peat and Big Smoke launch the Local Heros range and are already bottled at the Coleburn site.
