Jean Fillioux Réserve Familiale Exception

Special features: This extraordinary cognac combines Eaux-de-Vie from the Grande Champagne, aged between 50 and 100 years. The grapes are 100% from the Ugni Blanc variety, known for its high acidity and aromatic richness. The cognac is aged in Limousin oak barrels and bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of colorants, preserving its natural color and depth.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Complex aromas of dried and cooked fruits, accompanied by the finest Rancio notes, leather, tobacco, roasted chocolate, licorice, and caramel.
  • Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with notes of ripe fruits, honey, and subtle spice notes, complemented by floral nuances.
  • Finish: Long-lasting and elegant with a warm, slightly spicy finish.

Distillery/Bottler: Jean Fillioux is a traditional family business that has been producing high-quality cognacs in the heart of Grande Champagne since 1880. The Domaine de la Pouyade, located in the so-called "Golden Triangle," spans 63 hectares and is run by Christophe Fillioux in the fifth generation. The family places great importance on quality and craftsmanship, which is reflected in their characterful and authentic bottlings.
