Arran Gold combines fresh cream with a whisky base from Lochranza Distillery. Introduced in 2004, this cream liqueur has a velvety texture and brings together sweet caramel notes, chocolate and vanilla. It is offered at 17% alcohol in a bottle containing 0.7 litres.

Arran Gold can be enjoyed chilled or over ice and also makes a suitable addition to coffee. It brings its creamy consistency and sweet flavours to desserts and cocktails.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, toffee combines with creamy fudge.
• Palate: On the palate, chocolate and blackcurrants meet toffee and vanilla.
• Finish: The liqueur feels rich and thick on the finish, yet refreshing.

Distillery/Bottler:

Lochranza Distillery is on the Scottish island of Arran. Proximity to Loch na Davie was a decisive factor in choosing the site: the loch supplies the water used to make the whisky. Alongside Lochranza, the company also owns Lagg distillery in the south of the island, which opened in 2019 and focuses on its own style of peated single malts.

For its single malt, Lochranza uses malted Concerto barley and water from Loch na Davie. The resulting wort is fermented with yeast in wooden washbacks. The fermented liquid is then distilled twice in copper pot stills. Maturation takes place in oak casks that previously held, for example, bourbon or sherry. Arran Gold combines the spirit from Lochranza with fresh cream.
