Amber Meadow brings together maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks and bourbon casks with a tribute to Scotland's meadows. Released in 2023, the third edition of the Harmony Collection was created in collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney. Warm meadows and fields of ripe barley provided the inspiration for the Whisky Mastery Team.

The packaging also reflects this theme: meadow cuttings are incorporated into the gift packaging and bottle labels as a repurposed natural material. Mary McCartney's photographs of The Macallan Estate feature on the gift packaging. The whisky is offered at 44.2% in a 0.7-litre bottle.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Pronounced orange and lemon emerge on the nose, accompanied by honeysuckle, vanilla and coconut. An impression of fields of ripe barley adds to the aroma.
• Palate: On the palate, pronounced oak, lemon and melon meet scones, almonds and green tea.
• Finish: The finish lingers, with a rich, sweet and layered character.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1824, The Macallan is among Scotland's early officially licensed distilleries. It is located at Easter Elchies near Craigellachie in Speyside; Easter Elchies House, built in 1700, forms the historic heart of the estate.

Small stills are one of The Macallan's distinctive production choices and contribute to its rich, fruity new-make spirit. During the second distillation, The Macallan selects just 16% of the distillate for subsequent cask maturation. The sourcing, manufacture, seasoning and care of oak casks are other central aspects of its approach. The whiskies acquire their natural colour through the influence of the cask wood during maturation.
