Lime and lemon take centre stage in GIN SUL Lima Limão. Zesty, tart citrus meets mint, while hand-selected juniper and Curaçao peels round out the recipe. This Dry Gin is a limited single-batch edition, combining a light, fruity character with herbal freshness.

Lemon and lime trees decorate the bottle in a Portuguese tile pattern with lime-green accents. It contains 0.5 litres of gin at 43% alcohol. The citrus-led recipe lends itself to a gin and tonic with lime and mint, or a Lima Limão Lime Breeze with lemon lemonade and soda water.

Distillery/Bottler:

Altonaer Spirituosen Manufaktur produces Lima Limão in Hamburg. The inspiration for GIN SUL, however, comes from the Costa Vicentina in south-western Portugal. The brand thus brings together its Hamburg production base and Portuguese influences, which also shape the bottle design.

The distillery in Hamburg-Altona uses copper stills made by Arnold Holstein in Markdorf on Lake Constance, with capacities of 100 and 300 litres. Its gins are produced in small distillation batches. These modest still sizes and the selection of botanicals characterise the producer’s approach.
