Special Features: Habitation Velier Hampden is characterized by its high ester content of 40-80 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol, typical of the Outram Wormald Hussey (OWH) series from the renowned Jamaican distillery Hampden. As a pure single rum, it comes from a single distillery and was distilled in traditional pot stills. It was aged in ex-bourbon barrels for seven years, giving it its distinctive flavor.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lush and intense with aromas of vetiver, gum, cane sugar, and camphor. Upon inhalation, medicinal notes such as ointment and mustard emerge, along with a hint of petroleum. Exotic fruits such as banana and pineapple round out the bouquet.
• Palate: Lively and powerful with a blend of coriander, tar, cane sugar, and geranium honey. The mid-palate offers an impressive combination, rounded off with toffee and ripe banana.
• Finish: Long and intoxicating. The complexity begins powerfully and develops into milky notes of agave and coconut, accompanied by fruity facets such as melon and apricot, and a floral menthol finish with iris butter.
