Special features: This limited rum from the renowned Hampden Distillery in Jamaica has matured in a sherry cask from Bodegas Fundador, giving it a unique depth and complexity. With a high ester content of 400-600 g/hlpa, this Pure Single Rum is presented at cask strength and without the addition of colorings or sugar. The bottling was done in a limited edition of 740 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Complex aromas of coffee liqueur, brandy-soaked cherries, and blood orange, accompanied by subtle notes of cedar, almond, and date, adding warmth and depth.
- Palate: Full-bodied and vibrant with a mix of cocoa, cane sugar, and chestnut honey. Exotic flowers and a light tannin structure create tension on the palate.
- Finish: Long, aromatic, and spicy with accents of coconut milk, pink pepper, and roasted walnuts.
Distillery/Bottler: The Hampden Distillery in Trelawny, Jamaica, has a nearly 300-year history in the distillation of high-quality rums. Since 2018, the distillery has been experimenting with maturation in Andalusian sherry casks from Bodegas Fundador to further refine the characteristic Hampden style.
