Special features: This limited edition for the 200th anniversary of the Edradour Distillery was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2025. The 35-year-old single malt matured in a First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt (cask number 368) and was bottled at a robust 62.3% vol. The release is limited to 379 bottles. The whisky is non-chill filtered and contains no coloring.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense aromas of dark fruits like raisins and dates, accompanied by notes of dark chocolate and a hint of roasted nuts.
- Palate: Full-bodied and complex, with sweet dried fruits, caramel, and a fine spice reminiscent of cinnamon and cloves.
- Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of chocolate, sweet sherry, and a subtle oak spice.
Distillery/Bottler: Edradour, known as Scotland's smallest distillery, was founded in 1825 and represents traditional whisky production. The distillery is located in the picturesque Pitlochry in the Highlands and produces single malts that are valued for their authenticity and quality.
