This whisky is the first standard bottling of the distillery and offers enthusiasts a consistent access to the characteristic aromas of the region. Distillation takes place in pot stills based on designs by the renowned distiller Kiichiro Iwai, contributing to the unique quality of this whisky.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Inviting aromas of freshly brewed apple tea, harmoniously combined with the delicate fruitiness of sun-ripened apricots.
• Palate: Luxuriously smooth and full-bodied, a velvety texture unfolds with notes of amber honey and roasted almonds. As it develops, warm, ripe persimmons emerge, accompanied by subtle vanilla and nougat accents.

Distillery/Bottler: The Mars Shinshu Distillery, founded in 1985 by the Hombo family, is located in the cool and humid Alps of Japan. After a closure in 1992, the distillery was reopened in 2011 and has since built a reputation for producing high-quality single malts. The combination of alpine climate and traditional distillation techniques results in whiskies of remarkable finesse.
