Little Feckers brings three sides of the Feckin range together: gin, vodka and blended Irish whiskey. The set contains one 0.05-litre miniature of each spirit, giving a total volume of 0.15 litres. All three components have an alcohol content of 40%.

The gin brings together juniper, coriander, angelica root, cinnamon and lemons. Its character combines herbs with citrus fruit. The classic vodka is also suitable for cocktails. The whiskey is a blend matured in bourbon casks; vanilla, malt and a light caramel note complement its soft flavour of orange, buttered popcorn and honey.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Feckin Gin smells of candied lemons, with a little juniper and sweetness. Vanilla and malt lead the nose of Feckin Whiskey, complemented by a little caramel. Its aroma is sweet and soft, with a pronounced oak note.
• Palate: Feckin Gin combines herbal notes with lemon, juniper and a little coriander. Feckin Whiskey is soft and medium-dry, with orange, buttered popcorn and honey.
• Finish: Feckin Gin finishes with an impression of lemon pastries and buttercream. Feckin Whiskey retains a sweet note through a medium-length finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Feckin comes from the Echlinville Distillery on the Ards Peninsula in County Down. Shane Braniff bought Echlinville Manor House in 2007 with the intention of establishing a farm distillery there. In 2013, Echlinville became the first new distillery in Northern Ireland in more than 125 years to receive a distilling licence, and filled its first whiskey casks on 5 August that year.

For its own single malt and single pot still whiskeys, the distillery grows barley on the family farm and malts it on its own malting floor, where the grain is turned by hand. The stillhouse has copper pot stills and column stills, and deliberately slow distillation is part of its approach. Alongside its own spirits, the portfolio includes whiskey brands made with sourced whiskeys. The Feckin brand name draws on the word “feck”, widely used in colloquial Irish English.
