Killowen Signature Rum & Raisin , Single Malt Whiskey, 55% Vol.,

A vatting of single malts from different cask types: Killowen Dark Rum and PX Sherry Casks.

Killowen Dark Rum offers lots of molasses notes and tropical fruits, while the PX Cask shows raisins and dried fruits.

The playful name is reflected in the selected barrels and is the beginning of a signature release that will be repeated. For this whiskey, Brendan, the owner of the distillery, was able to select 5-year-old single malt barrels. He chose these from a neighboring distillery in County Louth.

The vatting of the barrels is done in batches, 200 and 120 liters, so that each batch contains a few more bottles than the previous bottlings. The Killowen distillery still places great importance on the high quality of its bottlings, which is also reflected in this whiskey.
