Special features: The Kilchoman Coull Point is an exclusive Islay Single Malt Whisky, specially developed for the Travel Retail market. It combines 4- and 5-year-old whiskies that matured in first-fill bourbon casks. The 4-year-old portion additionally received a 4-week finish in Oloroso sherry casks, giving the whisky a special depth. Named after the distinctive Coull Point headland, located just half a mile north of the Kilchoman Distillery, this whisky reflects the rugged beauty of the Islay landscape.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh peat smoke meets salty sea air, accompanied by citrus freshness, vanilla, soft caramel notes, and a hint of roasted barley. Light fruity notes of apricot and pear round off the profile.
• Palate: Smoky, oily, and yet vibrant: Sweet vanilla, toffee, spice notes, and a fresh lemon kick combine with robust, earthy peat. Subtle sherry sweetness adds additional depth.
• Finish: Medium to long, warming and dry with ash, salt, soft caramel, and a beautiful mix of peat smoke and wood spice.

Distillery/Bottler: The Kilchoman Distillery, founded in 2005, is the first new distillery on Islay in 124 years. It is located in the northwest of the island and is known for its complete handcraft – from growing the barley to bottling. Kilchoman produces a 100% Islay Single Malt and places great importance on authenticity and regionality.
