Pumpkin and pumpkin seeds give this London Dry gin its distinctive character. Created in collaboration with the Kocbek oil mill, the bottling combines gentle roasted pumpkin seed notes with juniper, earthy impressions and herbal spice.

Production involves macerating pumpkin and pumpkin seeds, extracting their aromatic compounds alongside those of 46 selected herbs over different periods. Slow, gentle distillation follows. Demineralised water brings the gin to 47% alcohol before it rests for a further 47 days. It contains no added sugar, is produced in limited batches and is bottled by hand.

At the London Spirits Competition 2025, Kocbek London Dry Gin received a bronze medal and 89 points.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, distinct citrus and ginger aromas stand out against a floral background.
• Palate: The palate opens with a gentle, nutty note of roasted pumpkin seeds. Juniper then emerges, accompanied by gradually unfolding herbs. Earthy pumpkin notes give way to spicy warmth and fresh herbal impressions. The flavour is bold and slightly sweet, with a peppery note.
• Finish: The long, harmonious finish is clean and lively, leaving a delicate citrus peel note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Kiss Of Immortality is the company behind Heaven & Hell. The brand is based in Velika Polana in Slovenia’s Prekmurje region, whose landscape is shaped by the Mura river. For Kocbek Gin, it collaborates with an oil mill that contributes its expertise in pumpkin seeds to this bottling.

The history of the Kocbek oil mill began in 1929 with Alojz Kocbek. Today, his grandson Gorazd runs the family business in its third generation. The mill is situated in Stara Gora near Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici in north-eastern Slovenia. It uses both traditional hot pressing and cold pressing for its pumpkin seed oils, and the historic mill remains in operation. This knowledge of pumpkin seeds underpins the collaboration with Heaven & Hell.
