Special features: The Takamaka PTI Lakaz Rum is a masterfully composed blend of four different rums that have aged in various casks. Among others, port wine casks and former bourbon barrels were used, giving this rum remarkable depth and complexity. Bottled at 45.1% ABV without the addition of coloring or sugar and not chill-filtered, it presents itself in its purest form.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A complex bouquet of juicy pineapple, mango, ripe banana, and nectarine, accompanied by spicy notes of anise and cocoa.
- Palate: Fruity aromas of dried apricots, complemented by hints of star anise and roasted cocoa beans.
- Finish: A complex and dry aftertaste with fine spice notes that lingers long.
Distillery/Bottler: The Trois Frères Distillery was founded in 2002 by brothers Richard and Bernard d'Offay on the main island of Mahé in the Seychelles. It is located just 60 meters from the beach and uses both fresh sugarcane juice and molasses for the production of its rums. Distillation is carried out in pot and column stills, utilizing local ingredients and innovative methods.
