This bottling brings together nine years of ageing in Jamaica and the Magnum Series #3 photography project. Hampden distilled the rum in 2016; Velier bottled it in 2025 at 60%. The magnum bottle contains 1.5 litres and comes in gift packaging. The rum is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

LROK stands for Light Rum Owen Kelly and denotes a Hampden rum type defined by fermentation and distillation, with an ester range of 200 to 400 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Within the third Magnum series, this rum opens a chronological sequence of increasing aromatic intensity. Its character combines intense floral and fruity impressions with Hampden's characteristic hydrocarbon notes. A scent of vetiver remains in the empty glass.

The label features Cristina de Middel's photograph Raatid. At the invitation of La Maison & Velier, the Spanish photographer spent a week at Hampden; four of the photographs she took there were selected for the third series. Raatid is a Jamaican slang expression that can convey surprise or describe the size of something. Following the editions featuring images by Elliott Erwitt and Alex Webb, this release turns the photographic lens on Hampden itself.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is rich and soft. Mignonette and hyacinth meet musk and medicinal balsam notes. With air, sugarcane honey and cane sugar emerge. Rubber aromas then become increasingly apparent, along with white pepper and ginger.
• Palate: The rum is lively and full-bodied on the palate. The medicinal notes return forcefully, accompanied by intense impressions of mustard seeds and cloves. Honey notes follow, along with subtle tarry hints of pipe tobacco.
• Finish: The finish is broad and balanced. Lemon and grapefruit bring freshness, while ripe banana and Reinette apple contribute juicy fruit notes. Exhaling through the nose reveals fibrous and liquorice-like impressions, along with hints of active fermentation.

Distillery/Bottler:

Hampden Estate is located in Jamaica's Trelawny region and has a history dating back to 1753. Hampden ferments with natural yeasts over eight to fifteen days and distils using four pot stills. Its different marks result from distinct fermentation and distillation processes; they represent different distillate types, rather than simply different ages.

Following its acquisition by the Hussey family in 2009, Hampden began ageing rum on its own estate in Jamaica's hot, humid climate. Velier is the bottler for this edition. The Magnum Series originated with an initiative by Luca Gargano in 2021 and pairs rum bottlings with photographs from the Magnum agency.
