The first edition of Jamaica Rum in the Journey Label Collection brings together Worthy Park and the independent Italian bottler Hidden Spirits. The collection focuses on the origins of its rums and their distinctive flavours. This rum was distilled in 2015 and matured for a total of eight years, including three in a tropical climate.

The rum is distilled from molasses in a pot still. Hidden Spirits bottled it at 45%, without added colouring. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals aromas of cooked tropical fruit.
• Palate: On the palate, citrus notes and passion fruit combine with caramel.
• Finish: Sweet spice notes linger on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Worthy Park is located in Jamaica's Lluidas Vale and has belonged to the Clarke family since 1918. Its own sugar factory supplies the distillery with molasses. After rum production ended in 1962, a new distillery was built in 2005. Its pot still, built by Forsyths in Scotland, operates with two retorts, a configuration typical of traditional Caribbean distillation. A historic aqueduct still supplies water to the sugar factory, the distillery and the estate's homes.

Hidden Spirits was founded by Andrea Ferrari in 2013. The independent Italian bottler releases both single malts and rums. Through the Journey Label Collection, it explores different rum origins; for the Jamaican edition, it selected a rum from Worthy Park.
