Planteray (Plantation) Xaymaca Special Dry - Jamaica Rum
Special features: The name "Xaymaca" comes from the Arawak language and means "land of wood and water," referring to Jamaica's lush nature. This rum combines distillates from the renowned Jamaican distilleries Clarendon and Long Pond, which were distilled in traditional copper pot stills. After a tropical aging of one to three years in former bourbon barrels in Jamaica, the rum was refined for another year in used cognac barrels made of French oak. A small portion of 17-year-old Jamaican rum adds additional depth and complexity to this blend.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Complex aromas of smoke, ripe bananas, vanilla, orange peels, and roasted pineapple.
- Palate: Dry with floral and fruity notes of rose water, pears, white grapes, apricots, and cinnamon apples. Subtle hints of coconut milk, allspice, nuts, and bread complement the tasting experience.
- Finish: Long and dry with spicy and peppery nuances, accompanied by lingering tropical fruit aromas.

Under the guidance of Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel, rums from various countries are selected and refined here.
