Depth Charge Spiced Rum

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Depth Charge combines Caribbean rum with spices and pronounced lime and mandarin notes. The brand’s original bottling centres on the interplay of citrus fruit, sweetness and spice. Its aromatic profile also includes vanilla, Persian lime, cinnamon and cardamom.

This spiced rum can be served simply over ice with a slice of lime or paired with a mixer. It contains 40% alcohol and comes in a bottle containing 0.7 litres, without gift packaging. No colouring is added.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, brown sugar, honey and cola mingle with fresh citrus notes. Warm baking spices round out the aromas.
• Palate: Cinnamon and lively lime notes lead on the palate. Orange, peppercorns, caramel, cola sweets and allspice complement the spicy citrus profile.
• Finish: The finish combines sweet vanilla with a final citrus accent.

Distillery/Bottler:

Depth Charge is developed at Atom Labs, the development platform of Atom Brands. Atom Brands emerged from the spirits retailer Master of Malt and began operating in 2011 with Bathtub Gin. That Boutique-y Whisky Company and That Boutique-y Rum Company were among the brands added later.

In 2019, the company established Atom Labs as a dedicated division for rapidly developing and testing new spirits. The team brings together recipe development, packaging design and production preparation. New products are initially offered through Master of Malt, and customer feedback informs their further development. This approach allows ideas to be tested in small runs before production is scaled up.
