Special Features:

This Iconica Gran Reserva brings together reserve rums aged for at least 15 years in white oak casks in Cuba’s warm, humid climate. A substantial proportion of the cask contents evaporates during this time, a loss known as the angels’ share. This tropical maturation shapes its characteristic dry note.

The long, natural maturation gives the rum soft tannins, a pronounced fruit aroma and a full-bodied character. It is bottled at 40% alcohol.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Dried fruit, prunes and raisins lead on the nose, accompanied by oak notes.
• Palate: Sweet fruit, chocolate, coffee, tobacco and spices come together on the palate in a smooth, full-bodied impression.
• Finish: The finish is long and complex, with vanilla and cocoa.

The Maestros del Ron Cubano produce Havana Club in Cuba and oversee the maturation of its rums. UNESCO recognised the knowledge of Cuba’s rum masters as intangible cultural heritage in 2022.
