Special Features:

Continuous ageing makes Havana Club 7 Años a blend whose youngest rum has spent at least seven years in cask. Some of the matured rum is kept for further ageing and later incorporated into the blend again. This process connects older reserves with subsequent bottlings, contributing depth and a consistent character. The rum matures in oak casks that previously held bourbon.

Roasted, tobacco-like and spicy notes sit alongside vanilla and fruit, while the palate is more dry than sweet. At 40%, the rum lends itself both to drinking neat and to a Cuba Libre or other cocktails that highlight its aged character. This bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes without gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, roasted coffee and tobacco leaves meet dark chocolate and vanilla. A hint of gingerbread and orange marmalade rounds out the bouquet.
• Palate: The rum is full-bodied on the palate and more dry than sweet. Woody spice, orange marmalade and vanilla fudge mingle with a hint of overripe banana.
• Finish: Black pepper, coffee and vanilla fudge linger through the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Don José Navarro developed Havana Club Añejo 7 Años in 1978. As Primero Maestro del Ron Cubano, he shaped continuous ageing and, with it, an important part of modern Cuban rum-making tradition. Havana Club rums are made by a team of Maestros del Ron Cubano. The knowledge of these Cuban rum masters was recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage in 2022.

Havana Club International S.A. was established in 1993 as a joint venture between Pernod Ricard S.A. and The Cuba Ron SA Corporation to market the Cuban brand internationally. The brand organisation thus complements the work of the Cuban rum masters, while the rum's origins and production tradition remain rooted in Cuba.
