Special Features:

The Thin Blue Line XO Reserve brings together distillates from selected casks sourced from distilleries in the Caribbean and Central America. The blend then undergoes additional maturation in oak casks. This further maturation contributes to its rounded, full-bodied character and noticeable cask influence. The spirit is amber in the glass.

Introduced in 2017, this edition is linked to a partnership supporting Thin Blue Line Denmark. Part of the sales proceeds helps serving and former police officers who have suffered physical or psychological injuries in the line of duty. Support includes trips, networking events and community activities. By the end of 2025, the partnership had raised more than €38,000.

The blend is offered at 40% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Leather leads on the nose, accompanied by a hint of sea spray and herbs.
• Palate: The blend is intense and complex on the palate. Vanilla and caramel combine with yellow fruits and herbs.
• Finish: The long, silky finish reveals dry tannins and delicate notes of leather and tobacco.

Distillery/Bottler:

The history of Old St. Croix begins with Danish pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who opened his pharmacy on St. Thomas in 1838. There, he used alcohol derived from sugar cane to make medicinal products and later also became involved in rum distillation. From 1880, he exported his spirits under the name Old St. Croix. The modern A.H. Riise brand was revived in 2010; its name officially changed to Old St. Croix in 2025.

Today, the brand's work centres on selecting and blending matured distillates from distilleries in the Caribbean and Central America. The Master Blender uses these to create the individual blends. Additional sweetness is introduced to highlight their flavour, which is why the blends carry the producer's designation Superior Spirit Drink.
