Velier is known in the rum scene as a pioneer for authentic experiences.
Papalin is a project dedicated exclusively to rum blends. To ensure the greatest possible authenticity, the blends are created from various pot stills in close collaboration with local producers and matured in tropical conditions in the warehouses of the participating distilleries.
Now the series returns with two five-year-old Jamaican high-ester rums. The Papalin 5 yo – 47% ABV is a smooth experience that blends vanilla and lemon with herbal notes, while pineapple, banana, and a hint of licorice add depth. The overproof version, the Papalin 5 yo – 57% ABV, is lush and bold. Medicinal notes meet roasted pineapple, fresh herbs, ginger, and rich notes of rice.
Both qualities were blended from three rum varieties: Rum from Worthy Park (WPL-Marque) with an ester content of 60 to 120 g/hlpa, Long Pond Rum (STCE-Marque) with an ester content of 550 to 700 g/hlpa and Rum from Hampden Estate (C<>H-Marque) with an ester content of 1,300 to 1,400 g/hlpa.
