Saint James 2010/2023 -12 y.o. - Magnum Series #2

Special Features: The Magnum Series by Velier combines the art of rum craftsmanship with legendary photographs from the Magnum press agency, founded in 1947 by icons such as Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson. The second edition of the series is dedicated to American photographer Alex Webb and presents his view of the world through vibrant color photographs. The Saint James 12 years is a blend from the vintages 2003 and 2010, distilled from sugarcane juice in Martinique in a Creole column, and matured into a characterful Rhum Agricole. The label features a photograph of Saint Lucia from 1988, giving the bottling a special historical depth.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Hints of honey, accompanied by fresh herbs and a touch of sage.
  • Palate: Spicy notes of curry and fine cocoa powder unfold harmoniously.
  • Finish: Long-lasting with a fine balance of spicy-sweet aromas.

Distillery/Bottler: The Distillerie Saint James in Martinique is one of the most renowned producers of Rhum Agricole and has a long tradition in the production of sugarcane distillates. Velier as a bottler has made a name for itself with the Magnum Series by combining high-quality rums with exclusive photographs that capture both art and culture.
