This traditional Thai rum is produced in the central province of Nakhom Pathom from local molasses and aged for extended periods in bourbon barrels. It matures intensively in the tropical climate of this fertile region: The combination of high average temperatures and humidity between 60 and 80 percent concentrates the aromas and gives Shakara a deep, full-bodied flavor.
The absence of sugar or colorings makes the rum an authentic ambassador of the Thai terroir, to which it opens the door in luxurious packaging for fans of the premium category.
