Special features: The Zuidam Flying Dutchman Rum 7 y.o. PX Cask is produced by the family distillery Zuidam Distillers in the Netherlands. It matures for at least seven years in Pedro-Ximénez sherry casks, which gives it its deep hues and rich flavor nuances. The base of the rum consists of carefully selected sugarcane molasses, which is fermented for at least two weeks. This is followed by double distillation in traditional copper pot stills, contributing to the overall complex aroma.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose presents itself as very refined and particularly with rancio notes, fruity aromas, and complex nuances of long-aged sherry. Citrus fruits, especially a combination of orange and lemon, are accompanied by underlying notes of caramel cookies, raisins, and milk chocolate.
• Palate: On the palate, there is a super balanced structure; again, the rancio is present and is accompanied by classic rum aromas such as passion fruit and guava, complemented by notes of chocolate and orange.
• Finish: The finish is medium-long and fruity, dominated by citrus notes and milk chocolate.
