This twelve-year-old Bunnahabhain was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026 from a sherry hogshead at 57.1%. It belongs to the High Proof series presented jointly by North Star Spirits and Sansibar Whisky, has natural colour and was not chill filtered. Vintage, age, cask and bottling strength define this exact Islay release.

The nose combines warm sherry sweetness, dark fruit and elegant spice with Bunnahabhain's creamy, maritime character. On the palate the whisky is powerful and full-bodied; intense sherry fruit, a soft texture, warm sweetness and creamy depth form a cohesive centre. The persistent finish remains fruit-forward and spicy, carrying the release's maritime elegance forward in a harmonious close.

Distillery/Bottler:

Bunnahabhain Distillery produced the Islay single malt. North Star Spirits bottled the sherry cask independently for the High Proof collaboration with Sansibar Whisky.

Bunnahabhain was founded in 1881 on Islay's remote north-eastern coast near Port Askaig. Tall stills, water from the Margadale spring and a mostly unpeated, robust and oily house style provide the counterpoint to the concentrated sherry-cask maturation selected by North Star and Sansibar for this High Proof release.
