Special features: This 13-year-old single malt from the Speyside region has been bottled by the renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage in their 100 PROOF Edition. It matured for 13 years in a combination of first fill and refill Oloroso sherry butts, giving it impressive depth and a complex array of aromas. It was bottled at a robust 57.1% ABV in natural cask strength, without chill filtration and without the addition of colorants.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lush sherry aromas with dark chocolate, raisins, figs, and a hint of tobacco. Behind that, nutty tones and a subtle spiciness from oak develop.
• Palate: Full-bodied, robust, and complex. Dried fruits, caramel, candied orange peel, and a spicy depth from cinnamon, nutmeg, and leather.
• Finish: Long-lasting and intense with notes of espresso, dark toffee, and a touch of oak. A warming, pleasantly dry aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler: The Benrinnes Distillery, named after the mountain of the same name in the Speyside region, was founded in 1826 and is known for its robust, meaty whiskies. It uses traditional worm tubs for condensation.
