Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense aromas of dried figs, raisins, and fine leather, accompanied by notes of polished wood, tobacco, dark chocolate, and a hint of orange zest.
- Palate: Silky and full-bodied with an impressive aromatic density. Ripe dark fruits, nuts, and spices meet old oak, fine balsamic accents, and a harmoniously integrated sherry sweetness.
- Finish: Extremely long and complex. Notes of dark cocoa, dates, licorice, and subtle spice linger. The oak maturation remains present without becoming dominant – a masterpiece of maturity and elegance.
Distillery/Bottler: Glenrothes, founded in 1879, is located in the heart of the Scottish Speyside and is known for its aromatic, honey-sweet, and fruity single malts. Over the years, the distillery has built an excellent reputation and is appreciated by both whisky lovers and blended Scotch producers such as "The Famous Grouse" and "Cutty Sark."
