Infinite Loch is part of Ardnahoe's core range and matures in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. This Single Malt brings together the young Islay distillery's peat smoke, maritime notes and dark chocolate. It is bottled at 50%, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, maritime notes of sea spray meet Islay peat and dark chocolate.
• Palate: On the palate, fresh fruit and cool menthol mingle with smoke reminiscent of a campfire.
• Finish: Smoke remains present on the finish, accompanied by lively citrus notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

Stewart Laing founded the Glasgow company Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd. with his sons Andrew and Scott in 2013. After decades of experience in blending and bottling Scotch whisky, the family also wanted to produce its own whisky. In 2015, they chose a site beside Loch Ardnahoe in the northeast of Islay. Construction of the distillery began in late 2016, and the first distillation runs followed in October 2018. Infinite Loch is an official bottling from the family-run Ardnahoe Distillery.

Ardnahoe uses soft water from neighbouring Loch Ardnahoe. Fermentation takes around 65 to 70 hours in four Oregon Pine washbacks. Slow distillation then takes place in two copper pot stills, whose unusually long, downward-sloping connecting pipes allow extensive copper contact. Worm tubs are used for condensation: copper coils immersed in cold water cool the vapour and turn it into liquid. This traditional cooling method is a distinctive feature of Ardnahoe on Islay.
