Bowmore 12 Years Old matures for twelve years in a combination of ex-bourbon casks made from American oak and Oloroso sherry casks made from European oak. The cask selection brings together fresh lemon and heather honey with juicy fruit, dark chocolate and Bowmore’s gentle, earthy smoke. Fruit, sweetness and smoke remain in balance. The single malt is bottled at 40%.
Since 2025, Bowmore’s existing range has appeared in a new bottle design; the Sherry Oak Cask Collection is a separate range. The twelve-year-old whisky comes in a 0.7-litre bottle with gift packaging.

Distillery/Bottler:
Bowmore stands on Loch Indaal and is Islay’s oldest distillery; its name has been documented since 1779. Barley is still turned by hand in its own floor maltings. During kilning, peat smoke contributes to the whisky’s characteristic smoky note.
Bowmore uses six wooden Oregon pine washbacks for fermentation. Distillation takes place in four stills, and only the middle cut of the spirit goes into casks for maturation. Bowmore brings together the whiskies for its twelve-year-old single malt and releases it as a distillery bottling.
